napa

We just returned home from a wonderful 4 day trip to Napa with TS friends. It was so beautiful--a much needed retreat! Although it is such a tease being pregnant in Napa (a glass or two doesn't hurt though!) We stayed at a wonderful little hotel in Yountville--very first class--and had some remarkable meals. LOVE Napa, it was hard to leave and come back to reality! Anyhow, pics from the trip HERE!

20 weeks

Okay--here goes! I never took pictures when I was pregnant with Makena until I was about 7 months along. Now I wish I had them to compare to this pregnancy. So I thought I would start now taking pictures every 4 or 5 weeks just for fun. Here is 20 weeks along!

Chase and Makena

We are members of the Children's Discovery Museum out here and there are so many cool things for kids to do! We hadn't been in awhile because last time Makena wasn't extremely excited about it. But this time she LOVED it! Her favorite thing to do is paint the old VW Bug they have on display there. They change out the paint color every day so it almost looks tie dye.


Here is our day at Pump it Up, a big warehouse filled with inflatable bounce houses where they can jump and slide. We typically go every Tuesday morning, and she loves it! She was with her friend Sienna and they were being so silly!

springtime

I know its not technically spring yet, but things are starting to really get beautiful and "spring-like" out here! I love this time of year, I think its my favorite in the desert. Things are going well for us, I am about 18 weeks along in the pregnancy now and feeling good overall. We have our next big ultrasound in about 3 more weeks, and we could find out the sex if we really wanted. But it was so exciting not knowing with Makena we have decided to wait one more time, since this will most likely be our last :(
We are going to Napa in 2 weeks for a business/leisure trip. Business for Chris, leisure for Makena and me! Haha! Makena is so excited to fly on an airplane--her first "real" airplane trip (she flew when she was 3 months, but obviously doesn't remember that!) Anyway, a few pics from the past few weeks!

Here are a couple pictures from our ultrasound yesterday. Everything looked good so far! I measured about 13.5 weeks along. Second picture is taken from the bottom looking up at the outstretched legs (butt is on the right, feet on the left) What could it be???? We don't know, and won't know until August 1st---we like the anticipation!! Chris feels it might be a boy, but its hard for me to imagine not having another girl...so one of us will be surprised!

january

This was in the Target ad this morning in the paper! Its always so exciting because I never see the photos or even know when they will be coming out until I come across them. My mom actually saw it first in her paper and called me, so I went online and pulled up the "weekly ad" and here it is!!
This month has already been full of excitement. For New Years my friend Courtney visited from San Diego and we had a nice relaxing time here in the desert.
Two of my girlfriends are also expecting a baby in February, so we had back to back baby showers for them (one Friday and one Saturday.) Both showers were so different--but so fun and got me excited to have a newborn again--although I have a LONG way to go!
One last bit of exciting news--back in December I had submitted Makena to a new talent agency (The Osbrink Agency) for fun. It was a shot in the dark because it is one of the most prestigious agencies in Hollywood. They represent Dakota Fanning--their youth department is fantastic, so needless to say I REALLY didn't expect a call from them. But last week they contacted me requesting an interview with Makena. So just went on Thursday, and they took Makena back BY HERSELF for the interview! I have NO clue what went on back there--but 15 minutes later they came out and the agent said she did very well. But they said they would be in touch with us, so now we are just waiting to hear. Anyway--I will keep you all posted if anything comes from it, but if not, we are ecstatic just to have been considered!

november & december

This is probably the longest hiatus of not posting since I have started the blog! These last few months have been busy with family and holidays--and not to mention some exciting news for the Howe family! We found out that we will be expecting another baby come the first week of August! I am currently almost 10 weeks pregnant and it has been a little rocky so far. But only a few more weeks until my second trimester when I should start to feel much better.
