Happy Halloween??

Not quite yet! But I thought it would be fun to see if Makena fit into her costume from last year! Haha--she was 4 months last Halloween--but the costume was a little big then! Now its a big snug, but she actually enjoys playing dress-up now!!

I was messing around with the camera today and got a really cool pic of Makena playing in the sink. My mom is redecorating her bathroom with yellow accents and was looking for a picture that would go in there. Kidding around, I told her just to put up a picture of me! Haha! But then we thought a picture of Makena would be fun. So I started playing around today and decided on black and white, but wanted the yellow bow to stand out. I think it turned out pretty cute! my gym

We joined My Gym at the beginning of June with a few of Makena's friends. It is a toddler's fitness/gymnastic class that we attend a couple times a week. Really, its more social hour than anything at this age, but she absolutely loves it. We are always the last ones out of class and I have to drag her out kicking and screaming! Summer session is almost over, so I decided to bring my camera and get a few pictures of her there.

Well we just got home from a near week long trip to the ranch (Chris's parents house in Agoura hills). Chris gets most of his time off in the summers so we try to get away as much as we can. Trip was very relaxing--mainly we hung out at the house with the grandparents, swam in the pool, and played with the dogs and horses. We went to Santa Barbara one day, and spent a few days down in Malibu. We took Makena to a playground down there, and who shows up? Denise Richards with her two girls--I have to admit I was pretty excited!!

The birth of our blog...

Well, I guess I should start out by saying that pre-Makena I never thought I would be doing one of these blog things. It is much easier to just pick up the phone and call, right?? But since the birth of our baby girl Makena last June, I have had constant requests for updated pictures and lists of her daily accomplishments and progress. I got a little tired of e-mailing individual photos and typing out the same thing over and over to different people, so I decided to try out this blog idea everyone has been talking about (following the lead from a few friends who keep one.) As I have been playing around with the setup and layout of our site, I am starting to understand what the hype is all about...I could have sat there all day trying to design the page! And the best part is, you can rest assured knowing that everyone who is interested in your life can be a part of the loop. It's the antisocial's way of keeping in touch with everyone! Haha! (Only kidding...but it is a bit convenient in that respect I must say!)
Okay well, I will try my best to keep this blog updated with current pictures and posts. We will see how it goes!
