Go Chargers!
Good luck against the Colts! Keeping our fingers crossed over here--surprised they even made it this far...

mak's eye color
I have had so many people ask me what color Makena's eyes are. I call them hazel because they have several colors in them. In certain lights they look brown, and others they look greenish because they have both colors in them and certain lights reflect one or the other. And forever I have been trying to capture the color with my camera and have been unsuccessful. But today the sunlight was shining right into them, so I busted out my camera. Not perfect, but you get the idea...(clicking on the pic will make it bigger).

ranch and malibu

Here are pics from the few days following Christmas. We hung out at the ranch yesterday and down at the playground in Malibu today...She is still a little sick, but starting to feel better so we had fun.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

We had a fantastic holiday with Chris's parents at the ranch this year and we were all very spoiled with wonderful gifts and family time. We drove out yesterday (Christmas Eve) and stopped to see my grandma and aunt in West Covina for a few hours to exchange gifts. Then we went to Chris's aunt's home for a family dinner in Pasadena. What a great party--and so nice to see everyone. Makena had quite a long day of no napping and getting over being sick.
Christmas morning has been very nice and relaxing--and of course it was all about Makena! Santa brought her some very nice toys--a rocking horse, a choo choo train, learning toys and books, some Minnie Mouse parafanalia, clothes, 2 stockings-- she sure made out! Check out more Christmas pictures...

december...where has it gone??
I know its been awhile since I have posted, so I am going to put a random mix of pictures that I have taken over the month. Nothing too exciting has happened--just getting ready for Christmas and can't believe it is only two days away. Where has the month gone??? We are leaving tomorrow to spend Christmas at the ranch with Chris's parents, so I will surely have pictures to share when we get home. In the meantime, here are a few random pictures...
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!
Lounging on the couch...watching the Pistons beat the Lakers...
Makena is obsessed with feeding the dogs now--she has her first chore around the house!
As you can see, she loves to be naked. What a ham...
We finally had grass put in the backyard--wow what a wonderful invention! The dogs actually like being outside now!!

thanksgiving
My family came out to visit us for Thanksgiving since Chris always has to work on Thanksgiving night. So our tradition for the last few years has been to dine in the restaurant on Thursday, and cook the full traditional dinner on Friday so Chris can partake in a home-cooked Thanksgiving meal. It works out pretty well--although, probably a little more fun for the guys who spent every day playing golf. But I can't complain, we all had a great time. Thanks for spending the holiday with us--I can't wait until you all move here!
