well finally we are feeling better (at least the girls are...Chris has inevitably caught the bug) so we have been outside in the gorgeous desert weather. now that we have a yard, we spend most of our time out here--have to take advantage before the summer heat sets in!

Makena and I have both been sick for the last week and it seems that the best remedy is a warm eucalyptus bath. So she has been taking at least two per day. Normally when she is not sick, she doesn't really like the bath, but this last week she hasn't wanted to get out. Poor baby...

Funny enough, I had taken this picture of her several days before she even sent me her picture, so it was completely coincidental that this picture came out looking the same! I didn't try to duplicate it...

mak's eye color

I have had so many people ask me what color Makena's eyes are. I call them hazel because they have several colors in them. In certain lights they look brown, and others they look greenish because they have both colors in them and certain lights reflect one or the other. And forever I have been trying to capture the color with my camera and have been unsuccessful. But today the sunlight was shining right into them, so I busted out my camera. Not perfect, but you get the idea...(clicking on the pic will make it bigger).
