crazy june

June has been quite full of activity, from Makena's 2nd birthday to our trip to Newport and Disneyland, we have constantly been on the go!

We went to Tommy Bahama's for lunch on her birthday where they brought her a giant cake to celebrate. Needless to say she hardly put a dent in it...


Makena's party was fun with all of her friends that came to help her celebrate!


We headed over to Newport for a few days to celebrate my 30th birthday and see cousins and relatives we hadn't seen in a long time (many Makena had never met!)


And finally, Disneyland with our friends the Walkeys--she LOVES the rides there and had so much fun with her little friend Chase.

I know I have been pretty terrible with keeping up the blog lately! My goal was to update every week, but what can you do? Makena's second birthday is approaching, so I have been preparing for that, and we have been in and out of town visiting family and friends. Oh well, enough excuses--check out some of our pics from May HERE!

last few weeks

April and May have been so crazy I feel like I haven't had a chance to update pictures. I have taken them--like crazy because I just got a new SLR camera that I am OBSESSED with! I am still learning how to use it--trying to teach myself and experimenting a lot. So, I am attaching a link to view some of the photos from the last couple weeks.

We went to Merced last week to visit my family, went to the Fresno Zoo and had a really nice time. CLICK HERE to see all pics!

san diego

We went to San Diego for a few days because Chris had meetings there for work. But we had a little play time as well. We met up with some friends that live there--and got to meet our friends Lisa and Jerel's new baby boy, Gunner. He is just adorable--Makena couldn't stop talking about "Baby Gunner!" While Chris was in meetings, we spent our days hanging out with my friend Julie and her little girl Presley (5 weeks older than Makena.) We had a really nice time--can't wait to go back soon! happy easter!

Happy Easter! We went over to the Marriott Desert Springs hotel where they had a huge Easter event. First, they had an Easter Bunny that parachuted out of an airplane, and just following that was an egg hunt for all of the kids (there were probably about 300 kids there...it was crazy!) Makena got about 5 eggs which was pretty good considering the older kids were running circles around the little ones! Grandma and Grandpa were able to come spend the holiday with us and we all had a great time. Makena still cannot stop talking about the bunny "parachuting down down down to the ground."

Park Avenue Logo

Holly (photographer) has put a name to her pseudo "modeling agency"--Park Avenue Models. It ties into several other businesses she runs, Park Avenue Photography and Park Avenue Resells. The latter is a little side job we work on together in which we resell designer baby/childrens apparel in our e-bay boutique. We will resell some of the clothes we model, and we will also act as a consignment type shop for anyone wanting to sell some of their higher end clothes. But anyway--Holly had these shirts made so she can put a logo together. Couldn't decide which pic I liked the best, so here they both are...I know, I know--they really aren't that different!

Makena and Peyton modeled a Mickey and Minnie set made by Kellie of Spoiled Sweet. The outfit was ADORABLE, still a little big on her though. How cute would this be going to Disneyland?
I am having the hardest time with Makena's hair in the studio--it looks so stringy under the lights, so I have to find the best way to do it. The blonde parts get totally washed out. I will have to keep playing with it...
